Thank you for reading our stories.
Thank you for your generous monetary gifts.
Thank you for supporting the people in our stories!
Thank you for believing that awareness can help save dogs—and the rescuers who dedicate their lives to saving them.
And for believing that lawmakers, breeders, and community members will recognize their role in overcrowding and make strong moves towards ending the pet crisis – someday soon! Free up valuable resources for more greater goods!
Friends–Family, thank you for believing in me. I see that too.

Four months
It’s been about four months since I launched the second part of the project: Inspiring change. Finding the people who are doing the most good and sharing their mission in hopes to inspire others to do the same in their own communities.
Not everyone is able to do walk into a rescue and meet a dog and not get attached, especially when you work with that animal daily. I learned that firsthand running adoption events in store locations and talking to people. Sometimes people just need to be in a setting that doesn't require heartbreak, or maybe they just need to discover a different way that didn't occur to them to get involved.

Special features
The website features organizations and causes like For the Love of Lulu Foundation, Paw Arty by Paws With Cause, Dollars 2 Dogs, One Luv Arizona, Operation Foster, and National Canine Advocacy Group.
Submitted stories like Dr. Kelly's Surgical Unit is making a huge impact in communities that need affordable healthcare, and we also included a story about our piggy friends at BetterPiggies Rescue. Keeping the information relevant for anyone to visit and scroll positive stories, and we also make sure to get THE BEST photos!
Getting these stories in front of people takes some investment in time, but I believe in the work because through every person I meet, I am not only inspired, but hopeful – hopeful that communities will continue to come together if they know the support is out there. The project also reminds rescuers – the ones who do the hard work of getting the dog, rehabilitating and trying to rehome – that we're advocating for them too.
My background is in publishing, working with communities to tell their stories. At my day job, we ask advertisers to support us – while I grow my Project, with very limited time to work on this, I am asking supporters and sponsors. **** If you'd like to partner for a unique marketing opportunity, I'd love to go over ideas, email info@therescuedogproject.com).***
Your donations

There is an old marketing slogan, "You gotta market to make it!" Well, that is what your support has helped me do! Every single penny gifted to The Rescue Dog Project goes right back into the Project to keep up the messaging.
Your donations:
Help run art campaign messages to breeders, lawmakers and neighbors, advocating for overcrowded shelters.
Help boost featured stories to give all these great organizations and people doing important work more exposure.
In turn, the website gets more views, which gets people's eyes on the mission, and
Social media channels have grown – which has resulted in higher engagement and more impressions and people seeing the message.
Remember, "Question Authority?" I saw it on a bumper sticker as soon as I was able to read – it was a hard one for me to forget – and today I am questioning the USDA, Congress, State Legislatures, Breeders, Puppy Mills and Neighbors – what's your role?
Partnerships
Advocacy work is not lucrative, it is a passion. This is my own hobby between my full-time job and other freelance work. But through supporters and partnerships progress has been made.
Created a digital advertising partnership with O'Rourke Media Group showcasing the project on community newspaper websites in nine markets across the country. We get clicks!

Getting totes serious with our Tote fundraiser for Rescue Pals in Fountain Hills, Arizona – every one sold, Rescue Pals receives $2, you become an advocate for animals and each bag supports The Rescue Dog Project's continued message to Lawmakers, Breeders and Neighbors.
And we most recently partnered with Sniffspot to help give rescue dogs some time to simply… run free. Stay tuned for this one, I need it to stop being so hot outside in Arizona!
And my rescue-themed license plate is still doing its job! At every light, traffic stop or highway stroll – people read my license plate, and see my website right above it – also getting views and clicks that way!
Thanks for being part of a community that proves there are countless ways to make a difference. Stay tuned for more in store!
