End the Strain on Rescues
The Rescue Dog Project

The
inspiration.

I wish I could rescue them all.

IN EXCEEDINGLY LARGE NUMBERS, great dogs are entering shelters – puppies, purebreds and even designer dogs. Too many are chewing up their toys, destroying their beds and blankets because they are anxious or bored. This results in laying on cold, concrete floors so there are no choking hazards, or they live on metal waffle cage bottoms so they don't defecate and have to lay in it. The atmosphere is loud and unstructured. These are very sweet dogs with wonderful dispositions who will make amazing companions, but instead sit alone in depression while their spirits break, eventually having to be euthanized if they don't get adopted, fostered. Some live for years in rescue.

It feels hopeless sometimes. The joy of an adoption is met with another incoming, or four, and oftentimes by the litter. Fosters are so important. The training and the structure gives puppies and dogs a better chance at getting adopted and not be returned.

We have to reverse the cycle.

Keep up with the project.
