Support The Rescue Dog Project's efforts to create change through art & advocacy
Updated: Jul 18

Thanks for stopping by!
The Rescue Dog Project has been a solo project since 2022-2023, earlier If you count all the note-taking! The project was launched as an art & advocacy campaign in 2024, creating whimsical graphics that carried a serious message to make people feel a bit uncomfortable so they'd reflect on an issue that is really serious.
Now we welcome contributors!
Art creates awareness. Awareness creates action. Action creates change.

Let's grow this message!
Your voice is heard through articles and storytelling
It's a place to share articles on:
Fundraising ideas – ways to get the community involved
Introducing some of the lesser known rescues
Share first-hand knowledge from volunteers, rescuers, transports, veterinarians, dog trainers, veterinarians, advocates, researchers
Successful programs other communities can implement
Impacts you make, celebrations that came from the struggles
Please send your articles/photos to info@therescuedogproject.com.

Art & Advocacy – Art to the Rescue
Most people will stop and look at an image, a painting, a photograph. As a graphic artist, I wanted to celebrate other artists and showcase how art can inspire social change. Seeking:
Artists creating for rescues
Artist selling merchandise that benefits rescues
Photographers that support animal welfare
In addition, we will have Art contests – Kids submit artwork that will be used for social media campaigns that will get behind bills or petitions that help get dogs adopted. Authentic kids drawings are better than AI any day of the week! People can tag lawmakers – call, email, share!
We fundraise! 3 ways these totes are totes success!
Wear a tote and advocate for rescues.
$2 per tote supports our featured spotlight.
Additional proceeds go back into The Rescue Dog Project's messaging to help end overcrowding!

Some people ask, so I created a way to accept your generous contributions! I am not a 501(c)3, but funds that I collect from this site, including tote bag purchases, poster digital downloads, and proceeds from VENMO go right back into advocating and fundraising for lesser known rescues.

While shelters and rescues are overflowing, we believe public awareness, responsible pet ownership, spay/neuter programs, and stronger protections against irresponsible breeding can help reduce suffering and save lives. Different roles, one mission – empty the shelters.
When you support The Rescue Dog Project you support advocacy, education, campaigns to lawmakers, and support artists who support rescue! As support grows so will our ideas – and we have more! Thank you for reading!
